TERRAMASTER D5-300C USB3.1 Type C 5-Bay RAID Enclosure

The D5-300C is a powerful 5-bay RAID storage solution, offering massive capacity of up to 100TB and lightning-fast sequential read speeds of up to 420MB/s. Designed for storing photos, videos, documents, and music, this desktop-sized device is an ideal companion for those with extensive digital media collections.

Equipped with the latest USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C interface, the D5-300C delivers real superspeed data transfer performance. Tests with two HIKVISION V100 512GB SSDs have shown actual write and read speeds of up to 419MB/s and 423MB/s, respectively, in RAID 0 configuration.

Unlike a NAS (network-attached storage), the D5-300C is a DAS (direct-attached storage) device, offering a dedicated and independent hardware RAID solution. Users can configure the drives in RAID 0, RAID 1, or Single Disk modes for the first two slots, with the remaining three slots operating in Single Disk mode.

The unique 2+3 RAID configuration provides the flexibility to optimize performance or redundancy as needed. RAID 0 offers blistering speeds, while RAID 1 ensures data mirroring and security. The D5-300C is compatible with a wide range of 2.5" and 3.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs, with individual drive capacities of up to 20TB and a total maximum capacity of 100TB.

For added protection, the D5-300C features an intelligent temperature control system and a low-noise fan that automatically adjusts speed to maintain optimal hard drive temperatures. The enclosure is made of sturdy aluminum, ensuring reliable and durable operation.

The D5-300C can be easily connected to Mac, Windows, and Linux computers, with no additional drivers required. It supports Apple Time Machine for seamless backup of Mac data and is compatible with various Windows backup software as well.

In addition to its standalone capabilities, the D5-300C can also be used as an external hardware RAID device for TerraMaster NAS systems, providing an easy way to expand storage capacity without taxing the NAS resources.
